We'll Leave Our Lights On...

 

We’ll Leave Our Lights On, November 20^th, 5 – 7 pm

For the seventh consecutive year, there will be a Thanksgiving Food Drive called “We’ll Leave Our Lights On.” Sanctuary lights will shine in 20 Hutchinson churches on Wednesday, November the 20th, from 5 – 7 p.m.

The Food Bank of Reno County suggests the donation of these items: Hamburger Helpers, pastas and pasta sauce, peanut butter, jelly and jam, saltine crackers, mac and cheese, dry cereals, instant oatmeal, canned meats, canned fruits, canned soups, instant potatoes and instant rice, and pancake mix and syrup.

The donated foods will benefit local church pantries and the Reno County Food Bank.

Rev. Mik challenged Faith to increase the amount to 120 lbs. If the challenge is met, she will “Rock a New Hair Color” (something wild).

 Sometimes, life is uncertain.  We are never quite sure what tomorrow brings.  sometimes, it can feel like we are standing on shifting sands.  Over the past years, we have started talking about all this change as "the new normal."  What does a new normal mean for how we live as disciples of Jesus Christ?  What does it mean to stand firm on our faith even when the world is changing?  What are some of the markers that help us grow into a life that matters as individuals and as a community of faith and transformation?  Come join us as we look at how Jesus helps us to live "A Life that Matters."
