Steadfast Love: A Lenten Playlist

A word from Rev. Mik King:
The Season of Lent is sometimes compared to a journey. In modern terms, we might say it’s like a road trip. And every road trip, every journey, deserves a good playlist. So Lent, a journey with contemplation, prayer, and self-reflection, needs a playlist that helps us with those things. The beautiful thing is that all the different genres of music can point us to the love of God. So let us think about the love of Christ, who was willing to make the journey to the cross for us, as we make our journey to being more faithful followers of his. Join us for this journey of Lent,
complete with playlist, and our sermon series “Steadfast Love: A Lenten Playlist”

The Art of Hearing...

The saying is “Two ears and one mouth means listen twice as much as we talk.” But this can be difficult to do! Even if we “hear” the words, do we really listen? Do we understand what the other person is trying to tell us? Jesus asks us to listen to him and others many times. What if we could get better at understanding Jesus and others? How can we pay attention to what is being said and how it is being said? Because the better we are at this, the stronger our relationship with Jesus and others will be! We invite you to worship with us as we practice “The Art of Hearing.”

Rev. Mik King

Join us for worship at 11:00 am Sunday, February 2, 2025 as we start this series with Rev. Mik with "Hearing can be Hard".
